Peter (59yrs) is originally from the Karoo, he became homeless years ago when he lost his job as a weaver because the factory he worked at closed down.....
The first time I saw Peter was about 2years ago in Kromboom park where
I walk my dogs nearly every day. Peter "lives" there, he keeps to himself, doesn't drink much alcohol, just when he gets very cold in winter to warm up a bit....he is very spiritual (Christian) and strikes me with his positive outlook on life, every time we chat..... I want to say we became friends!
We from CarewithGrace decided to support Peter, we try to find him a cheap, decent, clean room (he will get his pension soon, something he
looks very much forward to, because he dreams of a room for himself...).
Peter is known by Lot's of people and receives gladly some money here and there for food, tobacco and batteries for his little radio.....
Now, don't all run to Keurboom Park to bring old Stuff to Peter......
Why don't you find your "own" Homeless Person and help.....
You don't have to be rich for that....
Remember: 'SHAREING is CAREING' and as spiritual beings (which we all are, some more some less...) we have a obligation to do so but we "sometimes" forget!
Start to CARE TODAY , because it matters!!!
